A philosophy of individual
care
Designed by Edward Lutyens at the
turn of the century, Moorhouse is set in delightful grounds
overlooking the 'Golden Valley' and other National Trust Land.
Moorhouse became a Nursing Home in
1966 and has been owned and run by the Shepherd family since 1970.
It now incorporates the most modern facilities ensuring the utmost
care, protection and safety of its residents.
Moorhouse is Dual Registered with
West Surrey Health Authority for nursing care and Surrey County
Council for Residential Care, enabling us to offer a full range
of medical and convalescence facilities having regard to the need,
requirements and independence of each individual resident; from
those who are still active but require residential care and assistance
to those who require more specialised nursing or terminal care.
In addition to our full range of
Nursing and care facilities in Moorhouse at Moor Lodge
we have created Close Care apartments for those who are able to
maintain an independent life style with the reassurance of having
full support and knowing that care is always near at hand when
required.
Aims and objectives
Moorhouse aims to provide the highest
standard of nursing care and support in a homely and tranquil
atmosphere to enable all Residents to maintain as much independence
of mind and spirit as their condition will allow, to ensure that
all are happy and contented within our 'extended family' and provide
such support as will enhance their quality
of life and meet both their emotional and physical needs in the
most caring and compassionate way.
Philosophy of Care
To those entrusted to our Care we
